​Some people are drawn to the sea. I don't know why or how it happens, it's a feeling, an urge, a curiosity. I suppose it's different for all of us. As a surf instructor, I see it all the time and I am constantly inspired by people who make the journey to the sea to try surfing. I get to hear the stories from people of all walks of life. Some of them have been watching the waves in their front yards forever, some of them have never been to the ocean and have been dreaming about it for years, and some are really terrified of the ocean and surfing all together... and they still find us to teach them! And we get to do what we love!   

If you are one of those people who has that curiosity about the sport of surfing, please take a lesson! Its the safest and most efficient way to learn. Let go of your expectations and have fun! Duke Kahanamoku said “The best surfer out there is the one having the most fun”  and that can totally be YOU!
